ANSI's four-day Innovation Summit brings standards bodies, government, and industry together in Denver. Its July 29 AI program focuses on trust, security, data integrity, manufacturing use cases, and the standards implications of fast-moving AI systems.

My takeaway: Standards discussions become useful only when they translate into testable controls and evidence. Track proposed terminology, assurance requirements, agent identity and authorization rules, lifecycle obligations, and interoperability claims; map them to existing NIST, ISO, and organizational controls without treating emerging consensus as a finished standard.
